Learning Objectives
By attending this activity, the participant will be able to:
- Evaluate and integrate current evidence-based surgical, endoscopic, pharmacological, and multidisciplinary approaches for the management of obesity and obesity-related diseases into clinical practice.
- Apply patient-centered and integrated care strategies to optimize long-term health outcomes, quality of life, and chronic disease management for individuals living with obesity.
- Assess the indications, benefits, risks, and limitations of emerging technologies and innovative interventions, including robotic surgery, endoscopic therapies, artificial intelligence, and obesity management medications, in the treatment of metabolic disease.
- Identify and manage perioperative challenges, complications, recurrent weight gain, and obesity-associated comorbidities using evidence-based and multidisciplinary approaches.
- Interpret and critically appraise current clinical research, guidelines, and outcome measures in metabolic bariatric surgery and obesity care to support informed clinical decision-making and continuous improvement in patient management.
